Traffic Engineer

We are hiring a Traffic Engineer in our Birmingham office. On a typical day in this role, you might be designing a new traffic signal, retiming an existing traffic signal system, conducting a traffic impact study, or developing a deployment plan for field devices on an ITS project.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Experience with signal design and timing
  • Experience with ITS planning/design
  • Experience with traffic impact studies
  • Experience with traffic operations and conceptual geometric design
  • CADD experience, preferably Microstation
  • Experience with capacity analysis software
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills with English proficiency


  • Project management experience is a plus
  • PE licensure is preferred
  • Experience with Synchro and/or PTV Vissim
