Sain Associates is pleased to announce the promotion of Stefan Graeber, P.E., Site/Civil Design Director, and Jack Kimbrough, Jr., P.E., Transportation Design & CEI Director, from Associate Shareholder to Principal Shareholder, effective July 1, 2026.
This promotion recognizes the leadership, technical excellence, and long-term commitment Stefan and Jack have demonstrated throughout their careers at Sain. As Principal Shareholders, they assume an even greater role in helping guide the firm’s strategic direction while continuing to foster strong client relationships, mentor future leaders, and uphold the values that have defined Sain for more than 50 years.
I have had the privilege of watching Stefan and Jack grow as leaders, and I couldn’t be more pleased to welcome them as Principal Shareholders. They have consistently demonstrated the integrity, commitment, and dedication that define our firm, and I am confident they will continue to make a lasting impact on Sain’s future.
These promotions also represent another milestone in Sain’s ongoing leadership and ownership transition, reinforcing our commitment to developing strong leaders and ensuring long-term continuity for our clients and employees alike.
Stefan Graeber, P.E.
As Site/Civil Design Director, Stefan Graeber brings more than 23 years of experience delivering civil engineering solutions for public and private clients. His expertise spans every phase of project delivery, from initial design and permitting through bidding, construction, and project closeout.
Originally from Germany, Stefan earned both his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Engineering in Construction Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Throughout his career, he has earned a reputation for thoughtful leadership, technical excellence, and a collaborative approach to solving complex engineering challenges.
Jack Kimbrough, Jr., P.E.
Jack Kimbrough serves as Sain’s Transportation Design & CEI Director and has more than 20 years of roadway design experience. His background includes leading major transportation projects for clients including the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT), Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), and the City of Huntsville.
His experience includes alternative delivery methods, innovative intersection design, project management, and developing lasting client relationships. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and is an active member of the Alabama Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
