I recently stepped into the role of Business Development Director at Sain, with the plan to learn from Joe Meads in the months leading up to his retirement in March. As many of you know, Joe has made an immeasurable impact in his 35+ years at our company. Following in Joe’s footsteps will be a challenge, but it’s a challenge I look forward to. His wealth of knowledge and experience are not something that is replaceable, and I know he will be missed by Sain employees and clients alike.
In my short time with Sain Associates, I have seen how relationships are the key to success in our industry. Engineering is as much about people as it is about projects. No two clients are the same, even when their projects share similarities in scope or technical requirements. Everyone at Sain is responsible for developing and supporting relationships with our clients, and those strong relationships have continually created better results on our projects.
Many firms provide engineering and surveying services, but what sets Sain apart is our commitment to client support. It’s not just about delivering projects; it’s about ensuring every client feels supported and valued throughout the process. Our ability to offer a wide range of services—including civil engineering, transportation planning and engineering, land surveying, GIS, and CE&I—enables us to take a well-rounded approach to each project. Yet, it’s our people, their expertise, and their dedication to problem-solving that truly make the difference.
As I step into this new role, my goal is to provide our clients with responsive, personalized service while also bringing in new opportunities and building new partnerships. I look forward to being a part of Sain’s success, and I’m excited for the opportunities the future holds.
