Birmingham, AL | Full-time | Transportation | 1 Position Available
Sain Associates is looking for a civil engineer to join our Infrastructure team, where you will partner with a project manager to tackle Transportation projects, including roadways, sidewalks, and intersection improvements. This position is ideal if you enjoy deep diving into technical work and becoming the go-to expert with engineering design software.
On a typical day, you might be performing quantity take-offs and designing roadway drainage systems, as well as creating the horizontal and vertical geometry for a road design. You will also be assisting with the design of the signage, pavement markings, and erosion control measures necessary for project construction.
Must Haves
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- 2-5 years of experience
- PE is preferred, but not required
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills with English proficiency
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
- Enjoy learning different design software
- Prefer someone with experience with OpenRoads or Microstation
- Ability to travel as needed
