Transportation Planner

We are looking for a Transportation Planner who wants to join our mission to help communities make the best decisions for their future.

As a planner, you would work with our experienced team of professionals to create transportation and transit planning solutions for cities, counties, and state agencies.  

On a typical day, you might be writing a regional plan document, conducting demographic analysis, forecasting future demand, planning new transportation routes for vehicular or non-motorized travel, working with big data, or mapping or analyzing data in GIS.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geography, Planning, Urban Design, Civil Engineering, or related field from an accredited program
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Experience with demographic analysis
  • Ability to communicate highly technical work in a way that clients can understand
  • Desire to research and learn about federal, state, and local laws and policies that impact transportation
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills with English proficiency
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to travel as needed


  • 3-5 years of experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS
  • Willingness to learn TransCAD or a comparable forecasting software
  • Experience creating infographics to communicate planning concepts and support document preparation effectively
