Sain has been involved with the I-59/20 bridge replacement project long before the closure in January. Teaming up with the Alabama Department of Transportation in 2012, Sain aided in planning and designing for the deployment of Intelligent Transportation System devices to be installed as part of the bridge construction.
Sain also provided traffic forecasting and traffic signal timing services to help manage traffic operations downtown during the closure. Read more about the preparations for the closure here.
