A Recap of 2024 and Looking Forward to 2025

Sain Associates achieved significant milestones in 2024, marked by sustained growth, business diversification, impactful projects, and the addition of exceptional team members. Among the year’s highlights, the continued expansion of our presence in the Auburn/Opelika and Mobile regions stands out, creating new opportunities and enhancing our ability to serve these vibrant communities.

  • Completion of legacy projects for our firm, including the Tennessee Strategic Highway Safety Plan for the Tennessee Department of Transportation and the design of the Chief Ladiga Trail Extension for the City of Anniston.
  • Jeff Stephenson, P.E., PTOE, our Traffic Team Leader was promoted to Principal.
  • Several other employees celebrated promotions, certifications, and other professional registrations.
  • Infrastructure Team Leader / Associate Nathan Currie, P.E. was presented with the 7th annual Spirit of Lauren Award.
  • It was an award-winning year at Sain. 2024 awards included:

  • Senior Project Manager / Associate Erin Curry, P.E., RSP received ACEC Tennessee’s Community Service Award.
  • Our staff was involved in numerous community and professional organizations.
    • Becky White, PTP was elected to the ACEC Alabama Board as the Birmingham Vice President.
    • Jeff Stephenson was elected as the SDITE Secretary/Treasurer.

  • We continued to expand our work for municipalities, counties, and DOTs with new projects in Irondale, Trussville, Auburn, Opelika, Prattville, Vestavia Hills, Madison, Dothan, Alabaster, Morris, Jasper, Huntsville, Birmingham, Pelham, Rainbow City, Anniston, Mountain Brook, Phenix City, St. Clair County, Calhoun County, Autauga County, Elmore County, Shelby County, and other cities/counties. In addition, we offered municipal engineering services to Argo and Wetumpka.
  • The Industrial Economic Development market continued to be a bright spot for us in 2024, which included work with Jefferson County Economic and Industrial Development Authority, St. Clair County EDC, Central Alabama Electric Cooperative, Freedom Real Estate, and many contractors.
  • We assisted our clients in pursuing grant projects, including SEEDS, TAP, ATRIP II, Growing Alabama, IIJA, SS4A, and Reconnecting Communities.
