2020 Spirit of Lauren Award

Lauren Nickles, our friend and co-worker, was a constant ray of sunshine at Sain. Since losing her in 2017, we have continued to celebrate her and her legacy by annually presenting the Spirit of Lauren Award, which recognizes a Sain employee that demonstrates hospitality, kindness, commitment, persistence, and a positive attitude. This year we hosted a lunchtime celebration on October 9th, which would have been Lauren’s 40th birthday, and it was an honor to share the day with Lauren’s mom, aunt, and children.

The 2020 Spirit of Lauren Award recipient is Tony Montanaro. Tony is an Infrastructure Team Project Manager in our Birmingham office and is a past chair of Sain’s Funtime Committee. Here are some of the things Tony’s co-workers shared about him:

“Tony is one of the key people who make new employees feel welcomed, and he contributes to the overall sense of community at Sain.”

“He always has a smile on his face, a great attitude about helping out around Sain, and unfailingly makes me laugh.”

“When I think of people who embody the Sain spirit and support fellow employees, Tony is at the top of the list.”

The Spirit of Lauren Award provides a $500 gift card and a $500 contribution to an engineering or healthcare charity selected by the recipient. Tony has selected Designs for Hope for his charitable donation.

Congratulations, Tony! You are so deserving of this award, and we are grateful to have you as our co-worker.
