The world looks different today than it did yesterday. As we face the unknown of the coronavirus, Sain Associates will continue to bring weekly content to the blog. We find comfort in providing uplifting news but also bringing a sense of routine while we navigate through this fluid environment.
We are pleased to introduce Gary Pitzing, PLS, has joined the Sain team. Gary worked at Sain from 2004 to 2007 as a project manager, and we are thrilled for him to return to our Sain family.
In his new role, Gary’s responsibilities include directing, coordinating, and managing survey work in Alabama. Gary has 42 years of experience in performing ALTA/ASCM, topographic and boundary surveys, GPS and conventional survey methods, and commercial construction staking. He is also experienced in managing field and office survey personnel, reviewing civil drawings, preparing and writing legal descriptions, title and utility research, and developing civil drawings using AutoCAD, Micro Station, and GeoPak software.
Gary is a registered professional land surveyor in Alabama, and he is a certified Backflow Preventer technician and tester. His extensive surveying experience also includes topographic gas and water line route surveys, sewer tunnels, cross-connection surveys for potential process water mixing with potable water, and existing backflow preventer testing on various naval bases throughout the United States.
Gary has been married for 38 years to his wife, Kim. They have two children, Niki and Tyler, and they are proud grandparents to Ally and Bryant. In his spare time, Gary enjoys riding his bicycle on 20-to-30-mile trips.
