A few weeks ago, we happily announced two new shareholders within our company- Vann Rutledge and Becky White. Both have extensive tenure with the firm and serve on Sain’s Executive Committee, which allowed for a natural progression to shareholder. But, did you know that Becky worked as a stage manager for an opera company in college?

Becky White formerly held the position of Vice President of Organization Development, in which she led Sain’s Strategic Planning and Leadership Training initiatives. Her hard work and leadership has contributed greatly to the firm’s overall strategic vision, organizational development, and company culture.
Becky learned at a young age about courage, perseverance, and how to work well with others from her mother, who she says is her biggest role model.
She also learned a considerable amount from her experience in college where she worked as a stage manager for the Greensville Savoyards, a Gilbert and Sullivan opera company. “That job taught me a lot about the importance of preparation. A stage manager has to be very organized and anticipate what is coming next on stage, so that the show runs smoothly.”
When asked about her favorite part of her job, Becky says that she loves the wide variety of transportation planning projects Sain performs, as well as helping Sain employees with professional development.
Becky refers to a favorite Bible verse, 1 Chronicles 28:20, for encouragement and counsel when work seems overwhelming: “Don’t be frightened by the size of the task. Be strong and courageous and get to work for the Lord my God is with you. He will not forsake you. He will see to it that everything is finished correctly.”
